“Texas Country Reporter” Goes Pro
For those of you out there who really watch the show with attention to detail, you might have seen a new look that we have been featuring from time to time. From underwater shots of sea turtles, to shots taken from inside everything from cabinets to kilns, those specialty shots are possible with a little camera called the Go Pro.
The Go Pro camera is a fully HD capable camera that is actually smaller than an iphone. With the proper mounting equipment, you can put the thing almost anywhere. In comes with a waterproof housing so you can even get it wet! In the new Texas Country Reporter opening sequence, you will see several Go Pro shots of our flag Expedition. We mounted the camera on the fenders, the hood, and the roof and got some really interesting and unusual shots.
The good thing is a Go Pro is extremely affordable. Unlike our TV cameras that cost tens of thousands of dollars, you can buy a Go Pro for several hundred. Bikers, surfers, and racecar drivers and all sorts of action enthusiasts are using Go Pro to make their own videos for You Tube. It really is an innovation that is changing the way producers and photographers think about how to acquire unusual shots from interesting angles. Keep you eyes open and you will see more Go Pro shots on Texas Country Reporter in the future.
